In the smoke
I see beauty within
Destruction
The Seattle area has been suffering with unhealthy accounts of smoke. First from California, then from British Columbia.
At dawn and dusk the sun has been this bold orange/red. Stunningly beautiful, juxtaposed against the monumental destruction weight by those fires.

Well…… it mostly makes me cough.
I don’t know where you live, but here, we’ve had very poor air quality now for 2 weeks or so, due to the smoke of wild fires.
The only “nice” thing about it: it makes for blood red sunset and sunrises…
I’m just a few miles north of Seattle in Lynnwood. And my experience with the smokestorm has been pretty much the same as yours.
Oh yes, yours must be worse. Here in Idaho we can still see one city block ahead, but I think in and around Seattle it’s worse.
And so an extra “bravo” to you for finding something good to say about this smoke. 🙂
