Facing Forward, Pursuing Progress
My interest in photography started back in elementary school, and I studied it all through high-school. The shift from analog/film to digital changed so very much, yet so much remains the same.
this morning sunlight
a new day bringing its grace
go seek out beauty
summer’s excesses
Helios’ angry glare
I await night’s grace
glorious sunlight
captured in the greenery
delights of summer
A good day with friends, time in the sunlight, absorbing the life-giving rays. Refreshing my soul during the trials of this pandemic. Life is good.
grey day’s ending
sunlight moves across petals
hummingbirds fighting
this daisy riot
petals reaching for the sky
buzzing content bees
I wrote this haiku a few months ago, but some glitch kept it from posting. Glad I found it, and now to share it with you.
night is complete
dawn’s grace arrives
resisting waking
through the summer’s sun
life drips down upon the earth
bees sing merrily
the well lit blue sky
as summer’s glory descends
birds sing from the trees
movement of my feet
scenes along these quiet streets
suburban whimsy
I came across the cover photo on this evening’s walk. I’ve seen it before, and really get a kick out if it.
It’s really feeling like summer in Seattle. It really hasn’t had the feel until the past few days. Fortunately, it’s not too hot. I’m truly acclimatized to these moderate climes.
