morning rain
a song, to me
memories
Chaos Tamer
morning rain
a song, to me
memories
do you know I’m sad?
walking alone on concrete
tears hidden by rain

walking in sunlight
onwards towards dusk and nightfall
the echo of dreams
in the light of dawn
this bitter bite of winter
balancing with grace
The winter air has a substantive bite. Our weather reports hinted at snow, January marching into February. Yet, even in this time of cold, of darkness, flowers grace life with reminders that spring approaches.
This is my contribution for the Fandango One-Word Challenge. Today’s challenge word: trouble.
sunlight in the sky
within that deception
trouble is hidden
always look forwards
freeing ourselves from the past
creating beauty
under the starlight
a momentary pause
the city grinds on
Nights in the city have a magic to them, don’t they?
through fading sunlight
walk along the waterfront
filled with memories
Most of my life orbited the Edmonds waterfront, just north of Seattle. My grandparents lived here. So many memories of walking with my grandfather here, sometimes riding the ferry. He loved talking with everyone, hearing their stories. His gift of listening appreciated.
through the nearby woods
the way, today, much drier
moving through winter
Yesterday’s moonlight
Interwoven amidst dreams
Drifting through my mind
