As I look westward
Dusk falling over water
Spring’s presence is clear
Chaos Tamer
As I look westward
Dusk falling over water
Spring’s presence is clear
Walking at sunset
Looking westward from the shore
Loving this nightfall
Walking near the shore
Sunlight gracefully setting
My mind is swirling
It’s been a rough couple of days. A few moments of peace were very welcome. Walking and writing poetry connect me to the greater grace of the universe. And I’m grateful.
I’m grateful for you, too, dear readers. The likes and comments make me feel like I add value to your lives with my shaped words. So, thank you for reading, liking and commenting! It lightens the heavier loads in my life.
Walking in the night
Enjoying this graceful scene
Of the moon’s ascent
One of my favorite places is the waterfront in Edmonds, about 30 miles north of Seattle. I adore walking along the shore. Even tonight in the cold, though there were moments of striking clarity.
I love this old house
The echoes of elegance
Rang into the night
This house had been part of my life for years. Recently, it’s owners have worked hard to recapture its glory. They’ve done a nice job, in my opinion.
Along the shoreline
I feel sunlight upon my skin
A warm winter’s day
Walking in the sun
Before winter’s rage arrives
A tranquil respite
Underneath the moon
And this glorious sunset
Autumnal beauty
Went walking today
Along my favorite shoreline
As the sun moved low
One of my favorite things is to walk along the waterfront in Edmonds, WA. Tonight I include a few photos I took along the way.
With wind blowing strong
These bold and daring people
Weren’t cowed by this storm
I wrote this haiku watching these two ignore cold and rain, dancing where wind and wave collide.
