Fallen Blossoms, A Haiku

Realizing the potential of technology
the motion of spring
turning sunlight into life
this moment embraced
these spring irises
the other side of the fence
caressed by the rain
This bee was energetic little lady was hard to capture, as she kept bouncing from flower to flower. I am rather proud of this humble shot with my Samsung S9.
through today’s rain
spring and summer soon will fuse
through falling blossoms
I shot this one near my house. The shape and structure of this tree are just lovely, and the ground covered with fallen blossoms seemed a perfect metaphor while spring is supplanted by summer.
a feast for the bees
gently swaying in the breeze
the arc of sunlight
mountains to the west
sunlight upon the water
flowers near the trees
sunlight on meadows
flowers bouncing in a breeze
some favorite things
I’ve been exhausted the past few days as I’ve recovered from my second dose of the covid vaccine. But I’m feeling pretty darn good today.
feasting on sunlight
brief bits of joyful color
momentary pauseÂ
A few days ago I was walking along the nearby waterfront. This burst of color captured my attention, both at the moment and then yesterday, which I spent resting, recovering from my second dose of Moderna. I got a fair amount done in spite of my day of rest, but I didn’t get a haiku posted.
petals scattering
memories of fading spring
summer whispers “soon”
Watching the trees shed their blossoms’ petals is both beautiful and sad. Summer comes on the death of spring.
