So much is hidden
By the velvet cape of night
Not Just what’s frightful
Laying here seeking sleep. Hoping it’s mercy comes soon.
Chaos Tamer
Day passes to night
The demands of the day pass
Finally some rest
Looking towards the sky
The moon’s ghost emerging high
In this night I sigh
Walking in the night
Enjoying this graceful scene
Of the moon’s ascent
One of my favorite places is the waterfront in Edmonds, about 30 miles north of Seattle. I adore walking along the shore. Even tonight in the cold, though there were moments of striking clarity.
I look at the night
Upon freshly fallen snow
I’m struck by the grace
It’s a beautiful, snowy night here in Seattle. It feels wonderful, though I dread tomorrow’s commute.
I love this old house
The echoes of elegance
Rang into the night
This house had been part of my life for years. Recently, it’s owners have worked hard to recapture its glory. They’ve done a nice job, in my opinion.
On a winter’s walk
As darkness approaches me
Loving the sky’s glow
Came to with this as-build reducing the night’s sky.

Though it’s time to rest
I want to do one more thing
So here’s your haiku
I love creating these haiku. May you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy writing them.
Nighttime has settled
Darkness’ comforts calming
Now, its back to work
