upon this first snow
a group of robins gather
a first sign of spring
Though there was snow on the ground this morning, it was mostly gone by early afternoon. Then, during my afternoon walk, I saw a group of robins rummaging through the fallen leaves. Winter may be in place now, but spring cannot be stopped!
Memories of spring
Rain rippling in puddles
Thinking of sweaters
Today filled with rain, cleansing Seattle’s air of the lingering smoke. Very, very welcome indeed.
Just a few days until autumn. Though I look forward to sweater weather, I dread the greater resistance to spending time outside. Something to overcome.
nearly summer
I don my sweater
raindrops on leaves
blossoms falling
bees move to the next bloom
my feet on concrete
blossom petals fall
with their vibrant, violet hues
hinting at summer
Against all odds, I hold onto hope. Hard in this mad , rage-filled world.
the sun through the trees
lovely warmth upon my skin
while junkos fly past
My evening walks have been a key element of my sanity during these trying times. The weather’s been lovely, so this walk has been truly wonderful.
my evening walk
solace in quarantine
bees unperturbed
Today’s “Word of the Day” challenge features “Contact”. I stared at the blank screen for few moments before I was able to start pulling this one together. One of yesterday’s photos came to mind. On my evening walk yesterday, I was watching the bees flit about these flowers. When this lady buzzed right into the flower in front of me, I was delighted to catch the moment.
